Here is the mighty question:

Why promote Foam Wars?

Why Foam Wars?

Many who don't understand Foam Wars assume that it's some kind of battle between two teams that are just trying to blast each other with foam darts, but this isn't true at all.

Whether it is male or female playing Foam Wars, most games are played around a scenario or objective that needs to be met.

Careful planning is necessary amongst team members to capture a flag or attain an objective without being shot.

Strategy and teamwork are important as you work to move your team forward, or to set up someone from an opposing team.

Many teams competing together week after week build solid communications and pull together as one unit.

In this way, Foam Wars will teach that you are a valued member of a team.

This type of camaraderie builds self-esteem and confidence.

Another benefit of Foam Wars for ladies/men is the development of true athleticism and physical endurance.

Players will run, jump, duck, and whatever is necessary to outmaneuver the opponent.

It's a great way to get physical exercise as opposed to running on a treadmill in the gym.

Foam Wars will work muscles you never knew you had.

It will get you into shape quickly!

This side of the skirmish appeals to many of its players, male and female alike.

(Inspired by an article from Airsoft wars; but this is Singapore and Airsoft is banned from personal ownership.....Thanks for ideas, fellow blogger!)

Here are excerpts of the Foam Wars:

Cool huh? Wanna join up?

The next Foam Wars is at :

Date :17th May 2009

Time:1 pm to 3pm

Venue:Bedok Interchange Park

Meeting Point: Black Technology, Block 202, Bedok North Street 1, #01-477, Singapore 460202

Part 2 of Public Safety and Social Responsibility

Hi again,

I am again for the next part in Public Safety and Social Responsibility when you have a replica weapon in your hands.

Good Public Conduct

(1)  Speak politely-
Members of the public might not be as well-informed, they’ll ask questions & certainly speculate who you are.
You are welcome to let them know what is all about in a polite,
informative tone

(2)  Don't damage public property-
Do practise responsibility when you are seen using replica weapons for
costuming, filming or adverising. Using your weapon to swing at shrubs
aren't exactly the wisest thing to show off!

(3)  Don't hit or swear at the public-
As Singapore is a small country and information travels fast. Even faster for negative ones. You / yourself, experienced or inexperienced are unofficial representatives of the your community.
Your conduct will be the yardstick by which the Public will measure from.

(4)  Don't take liberties of the opposite sex-
This holds true when cases of people are being harassed for being looking very appealing to the members of opposite sex. If you are in danger
of being harassed, do seek help with the premises’security.

Social Responsibility

Ok, First of all.

I am doing on my own accord.
I feel that as my stocks starts to go wide spread.
I have an obligation to society on the whole to educate.

Tips for Public Safety and Social Responsibility( The Toy N Panzers Works Way):

1.) When going to a costume event like Cosplay convention or Halloween party, do use a bag of suitable size to transport your replicas.

2.) It is not advisable to show the replicas openly as there are members of the public who will mistake them as the real thing.

3.) Don’t try to play pranks with member of the public with your toy replicas like running into a bank or school in costume and scream: “This is a STICK UP!”

4.) Respect your toy replica weapons as rare item. As a general rule, the authorities don’t allow anything that looks remotely like a gun into Singapore unless it is been proven it is harmless and it is a toy.

5.) Threatening people and trying to rob with toy weapon do LAND the would-be perpetrator in jail in Singapore ! (Applies to every civilized country as well)
Most important of all, do exercise self-ownership of your toy replicas and always be accountable for your actions.

Ok, that's for now.

I think these are more than enough.
Stay tune for Part 2 of Public Safety and Social Responsibility

The New Preview for 2009

Oh yeah!

I have some very cool stuff for this season;
Here is the preview:

It is the Steyr AUG and the M-14 EBR.
(Order of samples is first one from the top onwards)
The M4 Carbine below is for comparision.

One retailer, Black Tecnology,
http://black-technology.com/
has taken the liberty of showing this:

We have learnt that with the correct imaginations and skills;
you can "mod" the Replica into impressive pieces of "Hardware".

Do take some social responsiblity in them;
don't just mod them for scaring or playing prank on people.

You will never know if people are scared into calling the police for help.

A Thousand Apologies!

Back in the past 2 weeks, I have been wrangling around with my previous freighter as they dropped me like a hot potato after they found what was my cargo.

But wait! My cargo has been checked by the authorities and deemed OK.

They are so scared that they quickly said Goodbye and Sorry in one word, then they disppeared, never to ask from me for business again.

Previously they were heckling for business from me, seeing they are so reputable and I mean reputable with a big R. I said ok.

Then the day of reckoning came on 10 November, they promptly dropped me.

So I went to my trusty freighter who helped me to bring in my 1st shipment.
After a hard struggle, he did it and now the cargo of Toy Replica Weapons being loaded up the ship, leaving for Singapore.

ETA is 20 to 24 Dec 2008.
No promises.

For you customer out there, I apolgise for this debacle.
In fact, no amount of apologises can make for it.
It is in a way beyond words, time and price.

I wasted everyone's time, busted everyone's expectations and screw everyone's hope.

I am sorry for this unfortunate event.
I apologise deeply and sincerely to all who is being hurt.

The Shipment

Hi all

Here is the update on my shipment.
The boat carrying my arsenal of toy-guns leave port at 10 Nov 2008.
It should reach here by 10 Dec 2008 if everything goes well.

Sorry, folks.
I know I owe you people a good apology.

I wanna use air-freight. (1 to 2 weeks arrive)

But as part of the good customer service and building a good rapport with valued customers like you people out there, I just can't pass the costs to you without dissing a good number of you off.

Plus I intend to be around for long term; I can really ill afford bad name and "rub salt onto open wound". *Ouch!*

Times like now, with increased prices here, there and everywhere.
I figured its bad news to follow suit.

I had to do all I can to keep my stuffs affordable as I am aware most of my clients' background.

Hence that's why I choose sea freight. (4 to 6 weeks)

Now where is Han Solo when you need him to smuggle.......(Just kidding)

Han Solo once said that the Falcon made the Kessel Run in "less than twelve parsecs".
(Maybe that is the time unit used in SW universe)

Don’t worry, Mister. The Falcon will do the Malayan Run in "less than twelve hours".
LOL
(In local context)

No Picture, No Talk.........

Hi folks, I managed to get this.

That is for now the closest I can get to a replica sniper rifle.
It is almost 1 meter long with a bipod, can be easily taken apart for transportation to Costume events.

You can paint it with your prefered colour; as you all know Singapore law states I cannot have too realistic stuff lest I get throw into the cooler for doing so.....

My theme for this time: Gun Craft- Pistols vs Rifles
(Inspired by War Craft: Orcs vs Humans)

The rules of TNP's Gun Craft:
1.) Guns are the Stars of your theme.
2.) Guns are like porn stars' assets; the bigger the better!
3.) Get Creative with your guns (zhngyourgun.com haha!)
4.) Leave trail of awe among your friends......

National Day

I wrote specially because I have a debate with someone I know who told me off as
I never bothered to know when the National Day preview (Full dress rehersal)is.

Naturally, I was annoyed when the dude says "Are you a Singaporean or not? Don't even know when is the National Day preview?"

Like I wanna know about it.
Of course, I knew the exact National Day's date: 9th August.
When we went indepedence; 9th Augusr 1965.

Moment in which Mr Lee Kuan Kew, our first Prime Minister cried on national television after M'sia booted Singapore out of the Malayan Federation.
That was the time, we are on our own.........

I shot back saying,"Then Sir do you know the meaning behind the colours, the symbol of the flag ?"
He went *whoooosh*

Red the colour of blood, our common link, bond to our fellow men & citizens.
All men are brothers, regardless of background.

White the colour of purity, our ideals, positive virtues
(Hey, I don't mean negative ones like kiasu!
Virtues to me at least means the code of conduct by which we are expected to conduct ourselves and to fellow men. Like if my job dictates that I am to serve my customer all the way without favour, fear or expecting monetary reward. I have to do that with professionalism.)

The Crescent- Singapore is a young nation with long way to go; OJT (Enuff said)

5 Star- Peace, Prosperity, Progress, Justice, Equality.
(Our nation's ultimate aim & ideals)

He was giving the blank stare, I asked again.
"You know the pledge? Know the meaning? Do you live by it?""

"For what? Are you nuts to remember everything?"

We the Citizens of Singapore
Pledge Ourselves as One United People
Regardless of Race, Language or Religion
To build a Democratic Society
Based on Justice & Equality
So as to achieve Happiness, Prosperity and Progress for our Nation.

Everytime, some national issue comes up and I figure that the Pledge is the best guideline for referance.

You see, Patriotism is doesn't mean running to your favourite statesman, screaming "I love you!"
He represents the Country not the other way round.

Patriotism is loyalty to your birthplace no matter what.
Governments comes and goes, Kings live and die, Princes waxes and wane.
But our country never changes as long as our people exists.

Oh yeah, I read about a concern fellow citizen and he was very displeased about some dudes lack of solemness at the National Anthem.
I did thought about for a while.
Part of me wanna scoff him but another part of me thinks he has got a point.

I mean in Russia or United States, people actually stood still & sang their national anthem with hats off.
So yeah man, I go with him for supporting to reprimand them for the lack of respect to the country.

My Job change

It's like a long time I blogged;
My own company: Toys N Panzers Works took off as a biz.

For all you customer who supported by one or another; my deepest thanks to you!
Without you people, I wouldn't be here.

At the Cosfest 08, I wanna cosplay. In fact, I brought my costume.
But my biz is important & of course, I had to give you people a good impression.

So I gave up my chance. Never mind, there is alway another.
But I only have 1 shot to give a good lasting impression to all my customers.

I see Cosfest / Cosplay as a redemption to our country's Arts Scene. It is not that it sucked but years of neglect and apathy has left it in shambles, barely functioning.

I would like to throw my lot to help Cosplayers.
Allow me to teach you method acting.
Method Acting; it is the art of acting the character in a much indepth manner.
Suppose you act like Sam Fisher of Splinter Cell, you have get into the mood, the mentality of a secret agent and movement.

Micheal Ironside, the voice actor of Sam Fisher uses such method.
William Petersen of CSI, method acted in "Man Hunter".

There is a down side to method acting. It will make you behave like the character you portray until you think you are a real-life character.
Which is why method actors sometimes have problems seperating themselves and the movie characters they are acting.
Petersen shave himself bald and went on a long leave to seperate himself from his movie character.

Well, I guess that's one part we can work on.
Lemme think any area to work on.........

I am back from Hong Kong!

Yeah, man!

This is my 1st paying trip to HK.
And my honeymoon + a peek into the wonderful, orgasmic world of toys at the HK Toys Fair.
Yes! It is a Toy Fans' Wet dream!

Even Karma Sutra sex doesn't comes close to it! Ha Ha ha!

HK kicks ass, man!
Ok, MDA or IDA don't arrest me for high treason.......
(Is praising other country's customer service under the High Treason charge?)

Seriously, their customer service whether in Big names like Giordano, Bossini or the street hawkers. Generally their service attitude and aptittude is generally good.
They always tell me to take my time to look, if they don't have the items I am looking for. They would told us to look for the dude 2 stalls down or 1 block down, he might have the item.

I did ask one hawker why would he wanna do that? After all, it is giving your rivals business. He answered: "Dude, I specialise in X item because I have a fixed area to sell my goods. It is not so smart if you have a bit of this and that. Your biz becomes not focused and you cannot upgrade your biz as result because you dunno what you are doing for a core business. So why not dedicate your biz on one item or theme and let the others have other biz. One man show is so dumb at times."

Indeed, the difference with My country and HK is stark.
Everytime in my country is given to us from drinking water to generous public housing space. While in HK, you have to buy tubs and tubs drinking water as daily neccessity and housing is woah! Their flat is small by own standard.
Think Bt Ho Swee flat and you get the idea.

The people there know that they have do everything to keep their jobs, livlihood and family going. Hence the attitude.
While my home, oh my.
Everyone, well almost, have a entitlement idea.

If my job or my boss suck. I quit. And find a better job ( To my taste.....)
If my employees suck, Sack ém and get dumber one.....
If my biz suck, the customers are too fussy
and the lists goes on.

The HK guys told me this:
If my job or my boss suck. I don't quit. I find out why.
If my employees suck, I find out why.
If my biz suck, I find out why.

Almost everything in my Home has a blame factor while in HK, they actally find out and adjust accordingly.

My ex boss used to praise about HK and their services now I know why.
I repect my ex-boss a lot; he is a tough man and fair too.
He know when to be hard and when to be listen to his employees.
I also affirmed myself not believe everything my home's press got to say.

They have a knack of demonising other countries plus "angelising" themselves in comparision.
Ok, not everyone in HK is good. There will some bad eggs too.
But these are few & far in between.
Even a street hawker with primary or secondary education can understand the idea of repeat customers and good reputation to tourists.

Why are we so dense about it? Even with Primary, Secondary & Tertiary education.
To us, we wouldn't think twice about knocking a block, conning or selling crap stuff to tourists because we assume that they would be coming back and we wouldn't be in this job or biz too long for the bad name to go around .
I wonder seriously what is wrong with our heads? I wonder.

Of course, we also have the good ones who go all the way to serve tourists.
Kudos to them absolutely.
