People, People!

All is not doom & gloom.

I am sure we can have alternate hobbies for the moment.
I will begin:

We have a shipment of Gun Themed keychains recently.
(I prefer to call them: "Gun-Chain" for that hint of manliness! )

I am sure the creative ones will modify them for many purposes.

Like necklaces for those BAD-ASS ones, Keychain being the most common, tagchains for the bags and wear them on Nerfs!

Why the long wait ?

This time of the month, it would seemed that much of my business partners are reorganising their stores.

Might as well, Commonwealth Games & Asian Games are back to back.
The 2 countries who played hosts have stepped up the Custom checks and are causing a huge pile-up at the respective Customs Checkpoints.

Hence the deliveries are running late......

My apologies for the delay.....

Ludi-Arma-Phobia

I made this word up: "Ludi-Arma-phobia"
( in approximate Latin= Fear of Toy Weapon)

It is a "mental disturbance characterized by irrational aversion to toy weapons".

The most common manifestation of "Ludi-Arma-phobia" is the idea

that toy weapon possess a will of their own, apart from that of their user.

True medical phobias of toy weapons can exist, but are unusual.
From bad experiences and so on. To be fair.

This types of people are in a way outrageous fear-mongerers,

and as being irrationally fearful. ie, Mis / Ill informed people.

I have been getting feedback like:

1.) it is immoral to expose minor to violence.

2.) it is simply wrong to handle guns be it , toys or not.

3.) I will get a heart attack when I see people with weapons!  ( I am serious, I was exposed that quote.)

First of all, to clear the mis-conception:

This is a hobby like Tamiya , Hasegawa or Monogram modeling.

These model makers have been making models of military hardware since 1980s or earlier.

We are just doing similar things except it is modeling with replica non firing weapons.

Repeat again; it is a hobby. There isn't a need to be serious. Of course, responsible handling is called for. This will be touched on later.

Someone asked me once if I knew the difference between a civilian and a citizen.
A citizen has the courage to make safety and responsibility of the society their personal aim.

A civilian knows nothing and is let around by the nose blindly. The bottom line, weapons; be it real or not, has to be handled with responsibly and account-ably.

Since we all recite the Pledge- "We the Citizens of......"
Unless one is a parrot, read my definition on what is a Citizen.

Silencer Mod 2

I got from hardware store

It is an approx. 10mm wide, can pass as 9mm caliber replica! (Fake one, make believe)

Use HOT glue or "Goop" to hold the nut in place.

Place the two halves backs, use strong glue like super glue to steady the two into place.
If you are feeling "extra", sand the seams smooth & flush to be rid of the glue marks.
Use grade "320" sandpaper or fine metal file to do.

Any gaps, use modeling putty to fill the gaps. Again, sand the traces smooth after the putty has set.

The cap of the sliencer can taken over. Carefully pry it out.

An opened silencer.

Use HOT  glue or "Goop" to apply the insides.

Insert the Bolt into the silencer case before closing.

Adjust accordingly.
Wait 24 hours before following up on paint job.

Now the glue is 80% set.
Let's see if the idea works.

Screw in slowly

Sucess! It is in!

Silencer Mod

I know that you guys out there have been asking how you make the silencer removable ?

Well, I have been at work hard.
And I have came up with these two methods for doing.

This is one way of two ways I did:

Adding a coupler joint for the sliencer, screw in the silencer for that assassin mood!

This is 12.7mm coupler ; saw off the hexagon end.

The sawn off end file it to smooth edge and use super glue or Loctite to attach the pistol.

This coupler is used to stick the other end of the silencer.

This is the end result.

Screwing in.......

And done.

Now for a paint job........
Now undergoing paint job. Using metallic black and then dull with "dull lacquer".

I have not screwed in the silencer yet as the paint have not set yet.
